Designed by Frank Pennink and opened in 1969 and upgraded by Hawtree & Son in 1997, the Old course is one of
Portugal's best known golf courses internationally, especially for it's natural contoured terrain. All the holes have their
own individual character, making each one truly memorable with the short but extremely well defended par-4 ninth a
highlight on the outward nine, while the par five 16th is the biggest test on the homeward journey.
