Some golfers visiting Ireland prefer to reduce the amount of travelling and instead decide to stay at golf resorts, and within easy reach of some of Ireland’s top courses. Golf getaways to resorts are a preferred option for golf groups and especially for couples golf trips where access to fine dining, spa treatments and other amenities is important.

There are many golf resorts in Ireland which tick all the right boxes, in terms of the quality of the accommodations with quality golf on site and situated near many golf courses. Here are some of our suggested golf resorts in Ireland, which provide the perfect location for your Irish golf getaway.

Adare Manor Golf
Adare Manor Golf
Adare Manor is a luxury resort in south west Ireland. It features a magnificent championship parkland course, recently revamped by Tom Fazio, and is set to host the Ryder Cup in 2027. The manor itself is a stunning property, with sumptuous bedrooms and suites. In addition, the Manor lodges, located adjacent to the clubhouse and carriage house offers great accommodations, particularly suited to golfing groups.

The Lodge and Links at Doonbeg, is another top class resort. Overlooking Doughmore Bay on the west coast of Ireland, this Trump property is a treat for links golf lovers. You have a choice of accommodations, staying in links cottages, courtyard suites of in the lodge itself. Golf course designer Martin Hawtree recently carried out some modifications to update Greg Norman’s original layout, and the result is a stunning links with possibly the best opening hole in all of Ireland. Lahinch golf club is just a 30 minute drive from Doonbeg, and Ballybunion is easily reached via the Shannon estuary ferry crossing.

Its neighbour, Portmarnock Golf Club is steeped in Irish golfing history, having hosted many major championships down through the years.
